You could be forgiven for walking past a Godwin Charli store and thinking it a shop for suits, and by suits I mean office people...perhaps I should have typed Suits with a capital letter? BUT hidden behind it's mildly austere exterior there are always a few classic gems that even a girl like me with basically no wardrobe "classic" or "essential" items can appreciate. It's all in the styling you see. 

I now have two Godwin Charli coats including this one featured here, and they have become my go to coats as every capsule wardrobe preacher predicted they would... although the caramel I enjoy most excitedly due to it's perfect compatibility with brights, whites and patterns (very un capsule wardrobe). As someone who feels frustrated by modern coats without lining or detailing I always admire the finishing on a Godwin Charli coat, full lining, internal pockets and details perfected. I know these are the coats that will last forever and eventually become great vintage for the next generation of hunters like me.
